Re: Marble Hourglass - Half walls ability

Ah, so the Hourglass is utterly useless attacking pretty much any castle I have ever owned then!As enough Guardposts and temples, along with enough other extensions, means only a coupla hundred walls...

Re: Marble Hourglass - Half walls ability

Only really uselss on Castles with over 280,000 walls. Even a drop from 89% to 85% means that almost 30% more of your attack is getting through and if a Castle only had 140,000 walls I guess that...

Re: Marble Hourglass - Half walls ability

Not so sure about that.Any priest with enough levels of casting can give anyone +160 hours at not too much cost. So can high enough Paladins for that matter. In 10 I used to summon an extra week onto...

Re: Marble Hourglass - Half walls ability

the wand is nice - more casting for more experience so you get legendary wizards quicker. ofc, this is somewhat dampened down by the study exploit as demonstrated by yak et al-mist

Re: Marble Hourglass - Half walls ability

The study order should be scrapped immediately or reduced vastly. But I think your dig at Yak using it is unjustified. The Study order is a part of the game and whether you like it or not it is there at...

And YET AGAIN i sayXP only for the first use of an order per leader per turn.Study would be damn helpful if used sensibly, but abused it'll just end up being deactivated...

Re: Marble Hourglass - Half walls ability

the study order appears not to reduce in returns like other orders, so putting in 32 of them on repeat means you gain experience horiffically quickly, getting legendary wizard/demigod early in the...

Re: Marble Hourglass - Half walls ability

The hourglass also gives your troops mountain attack strength if their attack in mountains is higher than their attack in the terrain they are in. This is perhaps it's most useful ability.I too think...

Re: Marble Hourglass - Half walls ability

Just make study a non-repeatdable order like thieves visiting taverns for cash... so it's useful early on but once you are using up all your order less so.

Re: Marble Hourglass - Half walls ability

I guess that the ease of summoning time depends on the game. In SR17 time only cost 100sp per 1hour with a max of 2 hours per spell. However from memory in deep dominions its way more something like...

Re: Marble Hourglass - Half walls ability

In SR19, an hour costs 5,000 SP, and only priests or AID can summon it. So 160 hours is beyond my budget. But most useful if wto more hours lets you squeeze in an extra square and arrive at your...

Re: Marble Hourglass - Half walls ability

STUDY is a bonkers idea. In my opinion ID should have merely looked at orders and made sure that XP is limited for non restrictive orders!

Re: Marble Hourglass - Half walls ability

Unfortunately, wouldn't work. Think it's been explained in a few places now, but basically that's what we used to do in the past - Order being 'overly used'?, knock it's XP down. Result? 'Over Users'...
